Summary

Houston First works to attract companies to host conventions at the George R. Brown Convention Center by promoting Houston as a destination. This project develops a bid proposal for the International Pilots Association (IPA), including a proposal package, book, and branded materials inspired by the organization’s origins in 1931.

The packaging takes the form of a 1930s-style pilot suitcase with vintage-inspired stamps reimagined as stickers, featuring past and proposed convention locations, including Houston. Inside, the kit includes branded buttons, a passport-style booklet with Houston landmarks, sticker sheets, and a proposal book that uses stamp and ticket motifs throughout.
